Monday's drive in Escambia County adds a daytime work zone to the week's overnight map. The Florida Department of Transportation's District 3 advisory for the week of November 1 says lane closures are to be expected at State Road 95 and State Road 97 from Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 6, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., for resurfacing operations - a window that covers both the morning and afternoon drives on two of the county's north-south workhorse roads.

The overnight program continues alongside it. I-110 resurfacing, from I-10 to U.S. 98, brings intermittent lane closures, traffic shifts and periodic ramp closures from Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, November 5, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Scenic Highway (U.S. 90), from south of I-10 to south of Hyde Park Road, has intermittent lane closures on the same nights, 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., for striping, and Gulf Beach Highway (S.R. 292), from east of Bauer Road to Manchester Street, works the week at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving.

Across the bay in Santa Rosa County, the U.S. 98 widening from Bayshore Road to Tiger Lake Drive carries median and turn lane closures, with intermittent lane closures and additional median closures from November 1 through Saturday, November 7, between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., for paving. FDOT notes that all of the week's activities are weather dependent and subject to change - and with Election Day drizzle now in Tuesday's forecast, Monday is the cleanest day of the week to get ahead of the work zones.
