No Toll at the Bob Sikes Bridge: Escambia County's Suspension for Pensacola Beach Runs About 60 Days
Drivers heading to Pensacola Beach are crossing the Bob Sikes Bridge toll-free. Escambia County waived the toll on October 8 ahead of Hurricane Isaias and expects the suspension to stay in place for about 60 days while recovery work proceeds.

The drive to Pensacola Beach is toll-free for now. Escambia County temporarily suspended the Bob Sikes Bridge toll, waiving it on October 8 ahead of Hurricane Isaias's landfall, according to the Island Times' county reporting.
The suspension is expected to remain in effect for approximately 60 days to allow recovery efforts to proceed — a window that runs into early December and covers the beach's storm cleanup, contractor traffic and the return of island services after Isaias.
The waiver applies to the bridge crossing onto Pensacola Beach, the island's main road link. County recovery traffic has been heavy since the storm: Escambia County reported this week that Isaias debris collection has passed 1 million cubic yards, with hundreds of trucks and crews working across the county.
