Pine Meadow Third Graders 'Travel' the World of UF/IFAS Extension in Escambia County
One hundred thirty Pine Meadow Elementary third graders got a tour of the wider world without leaving Escambia County this month, as UF/IFAS Extension hosted the students for its 'travel' program, NorthEscambia reported.
Pine Meadow Elementary's third graders took a field trip through the world of Extension this month. UF/IFAS Extension in Escambia County hosted 130 third grade students from the school to 'travel' the world of Extension, NorthEscambia reported in its October 30 features file.
The visit is the Extension service's local face: UF/IFAS Extension in Escambia County helps share research from University of Florida scientists with people in the community, NorthEscambia noted — the same office whose work reaches residents on farming, gardening, food and natural resources across the county.
The Pine Meadow visit was reported October 30. The desk is reporting only the facts the source confirms — the size of the group, the host and the program's 'travel' framing — and no further program details were included in the source read this cycle.
