How to Apply for FEMA Assistance in Escambia County: Registration Points Open Sunday (Pensacola Watch News)

In-person help with FEMA applications arrives in Escambia County on Sunday. Several FEMA registration points will open starting Sunday, November 1, to assist residents who have questions about the FEMA Individual Assistance application process, Escambia County announced Saturday.

The points are open Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at three Pensacola locations: Bayview Senior Center, 2000 East Lloyd Street; the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place; and Cokesbury Church, 5725 North 9th Avenue, according to the county's announcement.

Escambia County's FEMA disaster declaration for Individual Assistance covers Hurricane Isaias damage, and eligible residents can apply for help with housing, home repairs and other disaster-related needs. The county says the declaration also gives residents access to programs including housing assistance, crisis counseling, disaster unemployment assistance, and disaster legal services and case management.

Residents do not have to wait for Sunday to register. The county lists three ways to file: online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA app on a mobile device, or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 (TTY 1-800-462-7585), open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time.
