Evening at 73.2 and Clear: Election Day Eases to 34 Percent, Wednesday Holds at 68 (Pensacola Watch News)

Monday is ending the way voters would have ordered it. The station's live weather feed (Open-Meteo), read at 5:38 p.m., put Pensacola at 73.2 degrees, feeling like 74.8, under clear skies, closing a day that topped out at 76.5 with a rain chance of just 4 percent - a dry, mild Election Day eve across Escambia and Santa Rosa.

Election Day itself moved a little further toward dry. Tuesday now reads overcast with a high of 77.5 and a low of 69.6, and its rain chance in the feed eased to 34 percent - down from 39 percent in the mid-afternoon file and 47 percent at midday. The National Weather Service's North Escambia forecast is in the same direction for the voting hours: a 20 percent chance of showers after noon under partly sunny skies near 80, with the better rain chance - 50 percent, with thunderstorms possible - holding off until after 9 p.m., once the polls have closed.

Wednesday remains the week's weather day. The feed holds Wednesday's rain chance at 68 percent on a warm high of 84.1 ahead of the cold front, and the Weather Service calls showers likely with a possible thunderstorm at 70 percent, the severe threat low. Behind the front, the feed cools steadily - Thursday 83.5, Friday 81.2 with a drizzle chance of 17 percent, Saturday 81.8, and Sunday down to 76.2 with a low of 59 - while the Weather Service brings inland nighttime lows into the 40s by Friday night, the cool backdrop for the Blue Angels homecoming weekend.
