Election Day in Pensacola Is Tuesday: Mail Ballots Are Due by 7 p.m. and Cannot Be Dropped at a Polling Place
Escambia County voters voting by mail face the cycle's hardest deadline: ballots must be received at the Elections Office by 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 3 — they cannot be handed in at a precinct polling place on Election Day. Precinct polls run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day in Escambia County, and the rule that trips up the most voters is the one for mail ballots. According to the Escambia County Supervisor of Elections, a voted vote-by-mail ballot must be received in the Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, and it may not be returned to a polling location on Election Day.
Voters who still hold a mail ballot this weekend have two working routes: deliver it to the Elections Office at 213 Palafox Place, second floor, in downtown Pensacola, or drop it off at any of the county's 10 early-voting locations during early-voting hours — early voting runs through Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters can track a mail ballot's status at EscambiaVotes.gov.
Everyone else votes at their assigned precinct on Tuesday, where polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and an ExpressVote ballot-marking device is available at each polling place and early-voting site to assist voters with disabilities. The Elections Office can be reached at 850-595-3900. On the ballot: the Escambia County Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) renewal, statewide Amendments 1, 2 and 3, and the Pensacola City Council District 4 race, among other contests.
