Pensacola Halloween Events: Trick-or-Treat at Palafox Market, Boo at the Zoo and Taste of the Beach (Pensacola Watch News)

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and Pensacola is filling the whole day. The morning starts downtown, where Palafox Market's annual Halloween Market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. across Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Plaza Ferdinand VII. Children are encouraged to come in costume and trick-or-treat with participating vendors among more than 200 local sellers, and admission and most activities are free, according to the market's published guide.

The market's signature additions this year are Creepy Critters, an interactive live-animal experience presented by Animal Tales with snakes, tarantulas, scorpions and Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and a free Haunted Trolley connecting the two market locations. Winterfest's Pumpkinhead is scheduled to appear, the Kids Zone offers games and activities, and the String Farm bluegrass band performs during the market; mini train rides are the main paid extra.

In Gulf Breeze, Boo at the Zoo holds its final weekend of 2026 on Saturday and Sunday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze Zoo on Gulf Breeze Parkway, with last admission at 4 p.m. Families can follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail, collect candy and toys and meet animal ambassadors. The event is separately ticketed, including for zoo members, who can buy a $10 event ticket, and tickets from the weekends Hurricane Isaias canceled can be used on either remaining day — the storm forced the zoo to reschedule its first two weekends to October 24–25 and this weekend.

Pensacola Beach offers a daytime alternative at Taste of the Beach, whose main festival runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gulfside Pavilion on Casino Beach. Admission is free, 16 Pensacola Beach restaurants serve signature dishes priced at no more than $10, and the day includes live music, kids' cooking classes and hermit crab races. Organizers confirm the festival, which runs October 29 through November 1, has not been canceled despite confusion after Hurricane Isaias.

After dark, Historic Pensacola stages 'Talking to the Dead: The Victorian Séance' at the Barkley House, 410 South Florida Blanca Street, with sessions at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The living-history program costs $35 per adult and seats only eight people per session, and several sessions are already sold out. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 South Jefferson Street, continues 'The Rocky Horror Show' on Halloween night in a run that opened October 30 and continues through November 8, and Pensacola History & Hauntings runs guided ghost tours through downtown. Trick-or-treat weather looks cooperative: the station's live feed puts Saturday at a high of 77 and a low of 69 under overcast skies, with a 27 percent chance of precipitation.
