PenArts Brings 'Side Show' to The Gordon for Foo Foo Festival, With Performances November 1 and November 3-8
A gritty circus sideshow has taken over The Gordon as PenArts presents Side Show — the Bill Russell and Henry Krieger musical about conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton — for the first time in Pensacola, as part of Foo Foo Festival.

Foo Foo Festival's theatre centerpiece is under the big top. PenArts is presenting Side Show, the musical by Bill Russell and Henry Krieger, at The Gordon from October 30 through November 8 — the production's first staging in Pensacola — with performances on November 1 and November 3 through 8, the Foo Foo Festival's official site reported.
The musical tells the true story of Daisy and Violet Hilton, conjoined twins who were sold to an American sideshow in the early 1900s before eventually rising to vaudeville fame alongside other performers. PenArts has expanded the production into an immersive, circus-inspired experience, transforming The Gordon with décor and characters drawn from the musical's early-20th-century setting.
PenArts is one of 12 grant recipients for the 13th annual Foo Foo Festival, which runs October 29 through November 9 and allocated nearly $500,000 in grants across its events. Tickets for Side Show are available at penarts.org.
