FEMA Registration Points Open Their First Full Day Monday in Escambia County - Two Sites, 8 to 5, Through Wednesday (Pensacola Watch News)

Escambia County's FEMA registration points move to their full schedule on Monday, November 2. After a four-hour opening session on Sunday afternoon, the two continuing sites - the Escambia County Central Office Complex at 3363 West Park Place and Cokesbury Church at 5725 North 9th Avenue - will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2 through 4, the county says. The Bayview Senior Center, which hosted Sunday's session alongside the other two, was a Sunday-only site.

The points exist to walk residents through the FEMA Individual Assistance application in person. Escambia County's federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Isaias allows eligible residents to apply for help with housing, home repairs and other disaster-related needs, and the registration points are staffed for residents who have questions about the process or would rather apply face to face than online.

Applying in person is an option, not a requirement: the county notes residents can also apply at DisasterAssistance.gov. For Pensacola households still working through Isaias damage, Monday is the first of three full days to sit down with help in the room - the schedule shortens again after Wednesday, so the county's advice, in effect, is not to leave it to the last day.
