FEMA Help, Both Counties, All Week: Three Pensacola Sites Through Wednesday, and Santa Rosa's Milton and Jay Sites Until Further Notice
Registration help for Hurricane Isaias survivors is now a two-county map. Escambia's three Pensacola sites run 8 to 5 through November 4, Santa Rosa's sites in Milton and Jay run weekdays until further notice - and disaster unemployment assistance is part of the same door.

The help map for Hurricane Isaias survivors filled in on Monday. Escambia and Santa Rosa counties - two of the eight counties in the federal disaster declaration for individual assistance - both have staffed registration sites open this week for residents with questions about applying to FEMA for housing help, home repairs and other disaster-related needs, the Pensacola News Journal reported. State Emergency Response Team staff are on hand at the sites to walk residents through registration.
In Escambia County, the three Pensacola locations - Bayview Senior Center at 2000 East Lloyd Street, the Escambia County Central Office Complex at 3363 West Park Place, and Cokesbury Church at 5725 North 9th Avenue - are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday, November 4. In Santa Rosa County, help is at the County Administration Complex, 6495 Caroline Street in Milton, and at Bray Hendricks Park, 5259 Booker Lane in Jay, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until further notice; county officials say additional locations and weekend hours may become available. County officials advise residents who suffered damage or losses to file a claim with their insurance provider before applying for federal assistance, and registration is also available online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
The same declaration reaches past housing. The individual-assistance menu the counties describe includes crisis counseling, disaster legal services and case management, and FloridaCommerce has announced Disaster Unemployment Assistance for businesses and residents whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of the hurricane. For a region still counting Isaias damage, Monday's news is that the in-person door is open in both counties at once - and in Santa Rosa, it stays open until the county says otherwise.
